August 2026 - The Bureau of Infectious Disease Control has updated the School and Childcare Toolkit for respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses.
The updated toolkit provides guidance from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services on how schools, childcare programs, and camps can recognize, manage, and prevent respiratory and gastrointestinal illnesses. It outlines common symptoms to watch for, when children and staff should stay home, how to track and report clusters of illness, and practical steps you can take to reduce the spread of infections.
The toolkit also includes communication resources to help you keep families informed and support a healthy childcare environment.
